N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP) is an N-methyl derivative of 2-pyrrolidone, which is a nitrogen heterocyclic compound and has a molecular formula of C5H9O. It is a high-boiling solvent for colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid. It has the characteristics of strong polarity, inertness, low viscosity, strong solubility, good stability, no corrosion, low volatility, etc. It has been applied in many fields such as medicine, food, daily chemical, textile, and detergent.
